Free EDFUND Videos Help Parents and Students Apply for College Financial Aid

EDFUND has released its latest free videos aimed at helping high school counselors and college financial aid administrators guide students and parents through the process of applying for college financial aid.

Now also available is a DVD with the four national versions of the videos. Both national English and Spanish versions of the videos for students and for parents are on one disc.

The student version is titled Filing the FAFSA, Keepin' It Real. The parent version is titled, FAFSA for Parents. Both videos provide step-by-step guidance and useful tips for completing the 2007-2008 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) issued by the U.S. Department of Education.

The DVD and videos are available for students throughout the U.S., focusing on FAFSA completion, submission and processing. They serve as an excellent resource for navigating through the federal financial aid application process, as well as a valuable counseling tool throughout the year.

“These videos were created to help students and their parents,” said EDFUND President Sam Kipp. “They offer simple steps to follow, helpful tips, phone numbers and deadlines.”

The FAFSA DVD and video compliments the Fund Your Future student financial aid publication series produced annually by EDFUND. As with Fund Your Future, a California-specific version of the FAFSA video -- co-produced by the California Student Aid Commission -- is also available.

All EDFUND publications and videos are provided free to schools and community organizations as a public service.
