Three schools that first received EDSHARE grants in 2002 and 2003 were asked to share their challenges and successes at the 2005 EDSHARE Symposium. In addition, Dana Callihan, senior advisor for EDFUND, presented an overview of the EDSHARE program.

- Emory University — Create three distinct methods of communicating the importance of financial literacy to students on Emory's campus.
- Lewis-Clark State College — Use a series of workshops for current students and letters to already-graduated borrowers to encourage sound financial practices and debt limitation. Focus on early awareness through the Piggy Bank Project.
- Platt College — Build students' talents into strengths and manage their weaknesses through an early intervention program of counseling, mentoring, tutoring and employment assistance
