EdShare: Identifying best practices in default prevention and peer assistance
EdShare® was a competitive grant program that generated dynamic new approaches to student loan borrower education, debt management and default prevention. In 2002, 2003 and 2004, grants to individual institutions and a consortia of colleges and universities were made to campuses across the nation. Final grant renewals were completed in fall 2006.
Forum on Successful Student Borrowing
In November 2005, EdFund and 78 representatives from 48 schools nationwide met in Phoenix, Arizona for the unique Forum on Successful Student Borrowing. We had a simple objective for this two-day meeting: to discuss what tools and resources are necessary to help prepare students for a successful financial future.
Peer Assistance Guide
Through EdShare, EdFund consulted with several schools to discover best practices in implementing peer assistance programs. The Peer Assistance Guide was created to assist college administrators interested in implementing their own peer assistance programs.
