About EdFund

EdFund provides student loan guarantee services to colleges, universities and career schools, working closely with both financial aid administrators and lenders. We are a nonprofit, public benefit auxiliary of the California Student Aid Commission, but we provide our services across the United States. In fact, EdFund is the second largest guarantee services provider in the nation for the Federal Family Education Loan Program.

Our mission: We are dedicated to maximizing benefits to borrowers by being the premier service provider in the student loan industry. During the past decade, we’ve earned a reputation throughout the financial aid community for putting students first.

Although much of our behind-the-scenes loan guarantee function is not obvious to students, we pride ourselves on delivering a range of services that can make a difference in students’ lives. We offer award-winning publications and Web products that help students understand financial aid programs and sound money management practices. We partner with schools to implement up-to-date, effective strategies that help students complete their college dreams without overburdening their financial future. And in the event that borrowers have difficulty repaying loans, we work closely with them to identify options that keep them on track.

Our goal for each student is simple: a successful college career, followed by an equally successful repayment experience for every borrower.
