Each college has its own COA, which will include tuition, fees, books, supplies, housing and food. It may also include allowances for transportation, utilities, personal expenses and a computer.

Your COA will vary depending on where you live (with your parents, on or off campus) and the college you attend. If you have children or elderly dependents who need care while you attend classes, your budget may also take these expenses into account. If you have a disability, let your college know about any expenses that are not already covered.
