Giving Back to the Community

Your community is our community. That’s why, throughout the year, we raise funds and donate time to a variety of charities and causes.

EdFund Charities: Graduating Dreams

Since 1998, the EdFund Charity Golf Tournament, organized and staffed by EdFund volunteers, has raised over $200,000. Money generously donated by sponsors has supported a remedial learning center at a home for at-risk youth and provided scholarships to the children of killed or disabled military personnel, as well as groups sorely underrepresented in higher education: children of migrant farm workers, and children served by foster care programs.

The tournament typically takes place each year in May at a Sacramento, California-area golf course. The general public is welcome to play in the event, and to participate through sponsorship. E-mail us for more information.

Gestures from the Heart

EdFunders have donated to the hungry, to at-risk and traumatized children, to the homeless, to those without a warm winter coat, and to children who have “aged out” of the foster care system.

We’ve helped spruce up a local elementary school and raised funds for Hurricane Katrina disaster relief.

And every year, we race for a cure for breast cancer, purchase daffodils to support cancer research, support the many organizations of the United Way, and donate blood.
